Fiberglass Scaffolding Systems

Your scaffolding system is one of the most important pieces of equipment that you can have on the job. There are many jobs that simply would not be possible without good scaffolding. The problem is that scaffolding can be big, bulky, and heavy. Not to mention scaffolding is awkward to carry and if dropped it can be damaged tremendously. There are a lot of different types of scaffolding, and many materials that scaffolding is made from, but fiberglass scaffolding might be something that you want to look into. Here are a few reasons that you should seriously consider buying fiberglass scaffolding.

Non-Conductive

When you are going up and down the scaffolding you are likely going to be carrying many different tools with you. The problem with many scaffolding sets is that they have metal planks. If you have an exposed wire on one of your handheld tools, you could be in for the shock of your life. All joking aside, this is a very dangerous situation, because being electrocuted can be deadly all on its own, but if you are off the ground a couple of feet you are even in more danger. Fiberglass scaffolding is non-conductive so you will not need to worry about being electrocuted.

Lighter

Hauling around scaffolding in a truck is simple enough, but when it comes time to put the scaffolding together and you bring out the planks, it can become extremely hard work. The planks and the frames of scaffolding can be very heavy and hard to handle. If you purchase fiberglass scaffolding then you are going to reduce the overall weight of the scaffolding that you are going to be using. This makes it easier to load, unload, and put together. The great thing about your scaffolding being light is it simply cuts down the amount of work that goes into hauling it around.

Durability

Fiberglass is an extremely durable material. The fibers that make the planks and the frames are extremely tough and can truly take a beating. Unlike wood, which chips, or metal, that scratches and bends, fiberglass scaffolding will not chip or dent as easily as the other materials. Fiberglass is not indestructible, but it can take a beating. One of the biggest benefits of fiberglass over other materials is that it is not affected by water. Metal will rust in water and wood will swell up in water, but fiberglass is not fazed by water.
